Cheryl and I shared many experiences 
growing up. We were together much of. the time and people thought we were sisters. In 
actuality we were cousins, but you’d never 
know it. Living in the same apartment building we attended school together and dressed alike,  so much so that people called us the
“The Bobbsey Twins “  
        I can remember in grade school when we
pooled our money to buy double stick ices,
knowing we weren’t allowed to have them
              Our childhood was filled with many fun
memories. The times at Coney Island’s Steeplechase and of course Nathans. We did things like a team. 
                      We lived in the same apartment 
building. Cheryl and I shared a bedroom in 
our apartment for 10 years. This was in an
effort to shield her from her father’s struggle 
with heart disease . Unfortunately, he died
very young. We were there for each other. 
                    Being very intelligent and great at
math, she often helped me balance my checkbook. All I had to do was read the numbers.  Cheryl always found the mistake. 
                   There are days when I want to share
something with her and realize she’s no
longer here. It saddens me. I miss her more than I can say. Words fail me .

I think of you often  It’s hard to believe that 
you are gone. Has it been a year , hard to 
imagine. I have so many memories. The time 
we confessed eating blue ices because 
everyone who did got measles. We were 
never supposed to eat ices . 
           The time that I told you I was going to
throw my ice-cream at you if you didn’t stop
teasing me. Little did I know the ice- cream was going to fall out of the cone. 
             My frustration balancing my check book
and calling you for help. I knew you would 
have the answer. 
              The memories are everlasting and I
wish you were here to laugh at them.

It is with great sadness that I recall memories of my cousin Cheryl.  We grew up in Brooklyn, New York surrounded by a plethora of aunts, uncles and cousins all within block of each other.  It seemed more like having many mothers, fathers and siblings sharing their love and support. When I was five years old my family moved to Massachusetts. But every year on the last day of school in Brooklyn, Cheryl and her family and cousin Sharon and her family would board the Yankee Clipper train between New York and Boston to spend the summer in the "country".  It was the most special eight weeks of my young life every year that I will never forget! Over my adult life my husband and I visited Cheryl and Steve in Las Vegas many times and that allowed us the ability to reconnect and share our memories over and over. I miss them both with all my heart.  Their marriage, was as the expression goes, made in heaven. I hope they with, their love and devotion to each other, will be reunited there. May they both rest in peace and may their memory be a blessing to all whose lives they touched.

Cheryl, I always enjoyed our telephone conversations especially, the daily calls at 8 PM over the last several years. 
We discussed various issues, and you always presented your logical view on the subject.
Sometimes, we would reminisce about events that occurred over the many years that we worked together on Wall St.
Pat and I will always cherish the memories that we shared with you and Steven.
WE know that you are together with Steven and have a smile on your face.

Cheryl gracias por tener la oportunidad conocerte fuiste como una madre para mi y tú recuerdos  siempre estará en mi corazón y recordaré cuando pasamos juntó y acianos  chistes y nos reímos todos lo que nos decíamos y te recordamos siempre que fuiste una persona muy buena  con mis hijos y Dios te tenga en su mansión porque siempre decía a ABBA Padre y me a escuchado porque yo creó que esta en un lugar mejor no más tristeza y no más dolor porque dice la palabra de Dios que el que está encriston  nuevas criatura será y Dios te tengan en su gloria y tú recuerdo siempre estarás en mi corazón con amor Estela❤️

Cheryl, thank you for having the opportunity to meet you, you were like a mother to me and your memories will always be in my heart and I will remember when we spent time laughing and making jokes together and we laughed at everything we said to each other and we always remember you that you were a very good person with my children’s and God keep you in his mansion because I always said to ABBA Father and he listened to me because I believed that he is in a better place, no more sadness and no more pain because the word of God says that he who is in Christ will be a new creature and God will give you Have them in their glory and your memory will always be in my heart with love, Estela ❤️

Cheryl and I were not simply cousins
That in no way describes what we shared. 
We were sisters. She and I shared the 
same room for ten years due to the fact 
that her father was very ill with heart disease. Her mother did not want to expose 
her to the daily struggles her father suffered. 
     I loved having her in my home. She was 
the sister I never had. We went everywhere 
together. My parents were generous people
and anything I got , she got too. 
     When my uncle passed we were very young. Both Cheryl and my aunt joined our
family. Whatever we did , they did with us. 
We lived on the 5th floor and they on the
4th. My mother did a lot of cooking and
we ate together around their table. 
    We shared many funny times. Laughed 
about our milk being warmed in a 
small saucepan to take out the chill
             I could go on forever with stories which
continued into adulthood. During this 
past year, we spoke everyday. I loved when
we shared stories which made her laugh. 
It made me feel so good. 
           I feel as though I have lost a part of me 
My love for her is endless and I will carry
her with me forever.
