Chrissy was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to James and Elsie Dudas, and has resided in Henderson, NV for much of her life.
Chrissy led a studious path; she graduated from Rancho High School, and went on to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, receiving her Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Her hard work and steadfast determination carried her through life, allowing her to achieve the lofty goals she continued to set for herself. Chrissy didn’t allow obstacles to come between her and her pursuit of education; she worked as a hairdresser for many years to fund her schooling.
The time she invested resulted in a long, respectable, and rewarding career with Clark County as a Civil Engineer. She dedicated over 25 meaningful years of her life to this profession.
Despite her undoubtable diligence when it came to her work life, Chrissy always made sure to leave time for her passions in life. She enjoyed spending her free time by watching retro TV such as Perry Mason, attending fitness expos like the Olympia, and watching desert racing (from an air-conditioned suite!). Chrissy had a love for things that invoked nostalgia, one of the biggest being Beauty and the Beast, and the comforting joy that Christmas lights and decorations bring each year. Amongst this, perhaps one of the things she adored the most, were bunnies.
Qualities that truly defined Chrissy were her generosity, kindness, and selflessness. Those she cared for were always at the forefront of her mind; she showed her love by gifting things from the heart, and always desired to bring joy to the people she encountered. Chrissy had a soft-spot for any animals, and made a point to always save any critters in need or danger.
The love she held within her heart was indisputable; her gentle and benevolent nature was evident and inspiring to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Chrissy is survived by her Partner in Crime for 35 years, Michael, sister Robin, brother Darryl, nephew Bryan, niece Rebecca, family members Lacy, Cindy, & Ashley, her cats Jedi & Morpheus, and countless friends and family members who will continue to cherish her memory.
Chrissy’s fervent kindness, compassion, and empathy will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the many hearts she touched. Her joyous spirit will be fondly remembered, and deeply, deeply missed.
