Throughout our lifetime we will experience the loss of friends and family members.  Every loss brings pain and disruption of life.  Death is no stranger to any of us, but the closer one is to you, the greater the impact.  Pareng Roy’s death was sudden and we feel badly about it. It is difficult to do a thorough tribute to someone loved so much and was so many things to so many people. 
Pareng Roy was a man of faith. A true believer. He was a giving person. He cared with a passion.  Humorous,  Compassionate,  He gave me strength at my low moment.  He uplifted my spirit. He gave me wisdom in time of uncertainty. 
It is sad that Pareng Roy is gone but no longer in pain and Now he is HOME.
Will miss him so much.

Part 1 of 2 of Allison's Memorial Speech for Lolo Roy

My name is Allison Grace Blazi, and I am 11 years old (I’ll be 12 in exactly 18 days) “A.G.B” was what my Lolo Roy always called me. Isaac and I were very blessed to be his grandchildren, he was such a kind-hearted man, and we’ll always remember him for the rest of our lives. Lolo was always happy to see Isaac and me, and it was always a pleasure to see his smiling face. We’ll also always recall his calm voice, and whenever we heard his soothing tone, we knew we’d be okay. Whenever we needed Lolo, he was always right by our sides to support us, and we loved him with all our hearts. 
Lolo lived 10 houses away, and he was always there to do the kindest things ever. He would let us sleep over at his house anytime. Isaac and I would spend most of the time eating snacks and watching t.v while our lolo would be napping on the couch. He always made sure we were happy and we were filled with joy whenever he was around. He always got us donuts because he knew it was my favorite food, and he always cared. Sometimes he got me and Isaac a little too much, but we always appreciated whatever he offered.     
He gave me and Isaac so many toys that I can’t even count them. Lolo also never got rid of our toys from his house. He still has toys from like 11 years ago, and we don’t even use them anymore! He was like Isaac, they both never wanted to get rid of anything even if they didn’t use it all. If you ever try to clear out something, Lolo would always say “no,” but if you discarded it behind his back, then he wouldn’t even notice just like Isaac. There are a lot of memories back in his house, and it’s pretty funny how he kept even the smallest of things, like pictures Isaac and I drew back in kindergarten and second grade.

Part 2 of Allison's Memorial Speech for Lolo

Lolo was very helpful, and he always picked us up from school no matter what. He always supported us and came to some of our sports events. He even watched me and Isaac get awards at school. Speaking of awards, he deserves “The Best Lolo Ever Award,” after always remaining loyal to us. He made me and Isaac so happy.
Lolo was an amazing tennis player, and it was so fun when he played with us. “I’ll never be able to play tennis like Lolo,” I said one day, and that made him laugh. He always gave me and Isaac tips to help us improve in tennis. I remember whenever he came over to our house on special occasions he would be smiling and swinging an imaginary tennis racket in front of me, I would always laugh whenever he did it, it was like he was showing me how to do a better forehand even when we weren’t on the tennis court. 
Isaac and I loved our lolo very much and we will always miss him, but he always remains in our hearts and looks down on us from heaven. Even though we really want to see him and hug him again, we know that he’s in heaven, walking with god. We’re really sad that he’s no longer with us, but we’re always reminded that he is in a better place. Lolo will always be in our prayers, and we will never forget his love for us. If you’re listening to us right now Lolo, we just wanted to let you know that we will love you always and forever. Thank you.  


Dearest Iris and family,
I will be thinking of you all today and praying for strength, peace and comfort. So many good memories of your dad from good old ISU. From him walking around with that huge video camera, to the highlight VCR tape he made for us, the dads only tennis match and that night all the parents came back to the hotel with balloon animals and wearing balloon hats.  He loved his tennis and he loved watching you and the rest of the team play. I know this loss is so hard, but know that you are all loved and that one day you will be together again!! Hugs!!💕

Sincere Condolences to my Auntie Chit on the passing of  Uncle Roy. My wife Barbara and I visited them a few years ago. 
Uncle Roy is my deceased  Mom's First Cousin.

I'm very sad  to read of the passing of  Uncle Roy.  I send my deepest sympathies to Tita Chit and Iris and her family. I know what a huge loss it will be for his  family and community.  Uncle Roy had a strong faith in Jesus  and it showed by his actions,  prayers and his kindness to others.
I met Uncle Roy and Tita  Chit though his daughter Iris , who became one of my best friends at college. Iris and and I were on the Tennis Team together at  Illinois State University. I spent many weekends with Iris at her home in Chicago with Uncle Roy and Tita Chit.
I can remember Iris  driving me around  Chicago with Uncle Roy's beloved  red sports car. Iris was reminded  not to  speed  if another car challenged her to a race.
 Uncle Roy and Tita Chit  were a consistent encouraging,  presence in  my college years. I always felt I like I was a part of their family.
A devoted tennis parent Uncle Roy and Tita Chit would drive  many hours to cheer Iris and our  team on weekend meets.
 I have  fond  memories of Uncle Roy's big smile,  hosting many  neighbourhood bible studies in his home praying and encouraging so many people from different walks of life.  The Villaranda's home was a place of acceptance without  judgement. It was hospitality from the heart.
I enjoyed delicious Pancit and other wonderful meals, and of course Uncle Roy had his jokes which he often laughed at.  I'm sure that's where Iris picked up her crazy sense of humour, because Iris always laughs at her own jokes. :)
 I'm so sorry you lost your husband Tita Chit  and your Dad Iris. I take comfort that he is in glory with The Lord in no more pain but experiencing joy.  I'm also so happy that uncle Roy got to experience the pleasures of being a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren Isaac and Allison.  May the Lord comfort you all during this time of loss.
