

Cinda Lou Oliver, age 62, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on April 8, 2015 in the company of family and friends. Born November 22, 1952 to the late Fred and Mary (Silver) Carson, she was a 1970 graduate of Las Vegas High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1977 and a Master of Education in 1979, both from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Lou, of 36 years; son, Michael Oliver (Kristen) of Henderson, NV; daughter, Whitney Oliver of Henderson, NV; grandchildren, Addison and Easton. Sisters, Mary Irene Carson and Grace Ann Rose (Mike); several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Cinda worked as an educator in the Clark County School district for over 25 years. In 1997 she was appointed as a Dean of Students, a position she held until her retirement in 2004. She was passionate about Runnin’ Rebel Basketball and witnessed the 1990 National Championship in Denver! A Memorial Service will be held at PALM MORTUARY, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas on Monday, April 13 at 12 p.m. Cinda would like to be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
