Daniel Joseph Gentilcore

Gentilcore, Daniel Joseph, 71, of Henderson, NV, passed away on July 29, 2022. Devoted husband of Karen (nee Jeck, Acker); loving father to Joanne (Todd) McCormick, Anthony and David Gentilcore; grandfather of Zackary, Nicholas, Christopher, and Matthew McCormick; brother of James and Raymond (Barb) Gentilcore; uncle of Gregory and Scott Gentilcore; cousin of many and friend to many more. Dan was born and raised in Chicago and was a devoted Chicago sports fan, especially the White Sox and Bears. He worked at Cremieux Supply for 28 years before leaving the Chicago suburbs for the warmer and snow-free weather in Las Vegas, NV. There he worked as a Security Officer when the Palazzo resort and casino first opened. Dan and his wife Karen loved to travel and especially enjoyed the cream puffs at the Wisconsin State Fair and the roller coasters at Cedar Point. Once moving to Nevada, they drove to many sights in Nevada and nearby Utah, Arizona, and California. Some of the more notable trips were parts of Rt 66, Elko, the Extraterrestrial Highway, Scotty's Castle, and Death Valley when the temperature was 127 degrees. Dan was a fan of the music of Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley. A visitation for Daniel will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123. A visitation in Illinois will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM and a burial to follow at 12:45 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace 630-941-5860.
