

David Carlton Hazen, 88, of Las Vegas, NV passed away peacefully at Volante Senior Assisted Living in Las Vegas, NV, he was the son of the late Carleton Hazen and Florence (Benedict) Hazen. David graduated from Wilson Central High School and became a realtor. On July 10, 1971, he married Kathleen Bridget (Urbanik) beginning a 53-year marriage built on love, faith, and mutual respect. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Whether it was through his volunteer work, charitable contributions, or everyday acts of kindness, David sought to make our community a better place for everyone. Everyone knew David and his profound love of farming, fishing and real-estate and loved sharing his knowledge. His presence will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched.
David is survived by his two sons, Kevin ‘Jet’ (Akiko) Hazen and his two grandsons Ryzun and Jet and Mark (Marygold) Hazen and his granddaughter Sophia and three grandsons Nowele, Hodori, and Mateo, all of whom he adored. He is also survived by his sister Carolyn (late Donald) Carter his four nieces Lynne (Mark) Gambel, Debra (Robert) Goodlander, Cynthia Carter, Kathleen Carter and sister Barbara (John) Gouveia and nephew John (Renee) Gouveia, niece Christina (Richard) Kimble. Predeceased by sister Gloria Latzer (Allan Fox) and niece Judy Fox-Fletcher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and wide circle of friends who will miss his warmth, generosity and infectious enthusiasm of life.
