Our beloved David was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He was a gifted young man. While in high school, he played hockey as a goalie for Catholic Central. They won the State Championship in 1961 and he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
In 1962, he married Joyce his 'high school sweetheart'. They had two sons, David and Steven. During this time he was working for United Airlines (at 18 yrs of age, he was the youngest employee ever hired). In 1967, he was offered a job to help launch a travel company in Detroit which he took advantage of. Eventually, he was promoted to Vice President. In 1985 he transferred to Los Angeles, where he worked until he retired in 2003 and then moved to Henderson, Nevada. The travel company is still in business today. "Great moments are born from great opportunity."
He was very active throughout his retirement. David enjoyed all sports, especially hockey and he played until he was 77 years old. David seized opportunities in life and was an inspiring man. He brought joy! "Every day is a good day for hockey."
David is survived by his wife Joyce of 62 years; sons, David and his wife Michaela, Steven; grandchildren Nakita and husband Joe, David III; sisters, Judith and Kathleen and husband Ron. Beloved David will be missed dearly and loved forever.
