David Jay Pahls Jr., 65, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on June 1, 2026. Born on September 4, 1960, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, David lived a life that was unmistakably his own — on his own terms, at his own pace, and without apology.
David was a man of simple and steadfast pleasures. He enjoyed a cold drink, a good smoke, and the thrill of a gamble — and he made no secret of it. He had a deep love for dogs and made sure to always have treats on hand for any pup that crossed his path — a small but telling glimpse of the big heart beneath his tough exterior. Those who knew him knew that once David made up his mind, there was no changing it. His stubbornness wasn't a flaw so much as a signature — a reminder that he was always, fully and completely, himself.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Pahls; his daughter, Tabitha Edson; his sons, Dustin Pahls (Nicola), and Cory Pahls; his grandchildren, Skie-Ann Pahls, Aaliyah Edson, and step-granddaughter ShaiAnne Sellers; and his sister, Yvonne Trejo. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Pahls; his sister, Rhonda Van Strydonk (Paul); and his great-grandchild, Xenaphia Aaseng.
David may be gone, but those who loved him will carry his spirit forward — stubborn as ever, and never without dog treats.
