Deborah Ann Wimer (Ortiz), 71, a longtime resident of Sandy Valley, Nevada as well as Las Vegas, Nevada passed away suddenly during transport to the hospital at 6:46AM, the morning of December 23, 2017. She will be held closely and remembered by everyone that knew and loved her. A woman with a zest for life and always took the adventurous path in life. She fiercely loved and protected her family and had a courageous spirit to take on a dragon and a heart that would love a mouse. She truly had a heart of gold; a selfless woman, helping anyone along her journey of life. Deborah Ortiz is survived by her daughter Katherine Whitmore; grandsons: Remington, Sterling and Windham Ellis of Colorado; sisters: Heather Shepherd Carpenter of Nevada and Grace Ann Oggoain of Texas; brother: Lewis Wimer III, location unknown; nephew: Robert Wallace, of Nevada; nieces: Jennifer Wallace and Kimberly Abbott of Nevada; as well as extended family. Private Services are being held within the family.
