Funeral services will be held 10 am, Tuesday, September 12 th 2023 at King David Cemetery
in Las Vegas, NV with the Rabbi Super of Chabad of Lake Havasu City officiating. Burial
will follow at King David Cemetery.
A graveside memorial service, which will include family and friends, will take place at
11am, Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at King David Cemetery.
Arrangements are made by her niece, Ann Fogler, in collaboration with King David
Cemetery.
Diane was born in Los Angeles, CA to Morris and Marcella Firestone on July 3rd 1953. She
went to school in Los Angeles and graduated from Cal State Northridge with master’s
degrees in library sciences and education. She worked as a librarian and as a teacher for the
Los Angeles public schools for 10 years, until she retired and moved in with her parents to
care for them in their old age. She was involved as a Jewish leader with various groups in
Los Angeles, and an apprentice rabbi and cantor at Temple Beth Torah in Laughlin, under
the tutelage of her mother and father.
Diane is preceded in death by her mother and father. Diane is survived by her sisters
Rebecca Firestone and Miriam Fogler, her niece Ann Fogler, and her grandniece Eva
Duffy.
The family of Diane wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Cold Springs Group home, Noli
Macaroni (her primary caretaker), and Compassus hospice care.
