

Dorothy Trupiano took her place in heaven on November 13th at the age of 94 in Las Vegas. Dorothy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Las Vegas in 1953 so her husband could pursue a career in gaming while she served cocktails at the Flamingo. A volunteer position with Catholic Charities turned into a 25 year career managing St Vincent’s thrift store. She was instrumental in starting the Catholic school uniform program. Dorothy was an avid singer, bowler, member of Catholic Daughters of America and Sons of Italy, and grandmother extraordinaire. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Martha) and Frank (Deanna); grandchildren, Phil, Donny, Ceresia, Dominic (Rhonda), Angela (Ryan) and Nic; several great-grandchildren (including 4-month old Silas that she never had the opportunity to meet). Preceding her in death were her parents, Philip and Alice Capello; her husband, Joe; her sons, Joe and Don; and her siblings, Phyllis, Josephine, Mafalda, Adelena, Walden, Philomena, Bette and Philip. Viewing will be Sunday, November 19th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Palm Eastern. Funeral is Monday at 11:00 at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic church. Burial at 1:00 at Palm Eastern.
