

Douglas James DeSale, age 73, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025. He was born in Queens, New York to the late Salvatore and Gilda DeSale.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Kelly and Sister, Lorraine Bouklas (Tommy). He also leaves behind a Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Barbara and Jack Scully, Sisters-in-law, Brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, two grand-nieces and a grand-nephew as well as many cousins who all adored him dearly. In addition, he leaves behind a multitude of dear friends, both old and new.
A devoted fan of the NY Yankees, his passion for the Yankees was evident to all who knew him especially since he proudly wore Yankee tee shirts every day when he wasn't wearing a golf shirt!
Doug was a passionate golfer who found immense joy on the course. For the past few years, he was a proud member of the Siena Men’s Golf Club, playing four to six times a week. He made many wonderful friends while a member of the SMGC and really enjoyed his time with them. Two shining moments for Doug while a member of the SMGC were winning the 2023 Siena Golf Club Open (flight 1) and winning the SMGC Crystal Cup in 2024.
Doug graduated from Emporia State in Kansas in 1973 with a Degree in Music Education. He spent five years playing the trumpet on the road with Terry Moretti's Las Vegas '76, a traveling Las Vegas show band, before settling down in Las Vegas in 1977. Doug spent many years in the Casino business leaving it in 2001 to start his own vending machine business which he ran for 14 years until he retired.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to: The Owen Chance Melin Scholarship at University of South Florida (Owen was a nephew who passed in 2020) or St. Rose Dominican Hospital at St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation.
A visitation for Douglas will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113, followed by a wake service at 5:00 PM. Friends are invited to say a few words in memory of Doug as part of the service. Following the service, there will be a repast from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
