She was born in New York City on February 19th, 1926 and often shared memories of the joy she experienced playing in Central Park which was a block from her family’s apartment in Manhattan. She and her brother Albert were very close and he pre-deceased her in 2010.
Eleanor moved to Las Vegas in 1963 and worked for more than 20 years in the Clark County Recorder’s Office under Joan Swift, and oversaw the copying of official records. In the 1980’s she competed in the Senior Olympics and won gold medals in six events.
The family would like to thank Maria and the staff of the Victorian Home where she received excellent care for the last eight years. She is survived by her niece Cynthia Valencia and nephew Ray Wooge.
