Elizabeth A. Sarpong

April 26, 1947 – June 17, 2024
Obituary of Elizabeth A. Sarpong
IN THE CARE OF

Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery

Elizabeth Sarpong, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, made her final transition the morning of June 17, 2024, surrounded by her family at Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Born on April 26, 1947, in Zrenjanin, Serbia (former Yugoslavia), Elizabeth was the daughter of Ferenc and Julijana Zemene. She graduated from Zrenjanin High School in 1965 and went on to earn a degree in Nursing. Elizabeth dedicated her life to healthcare at Queen of the Valley Hospital and Dignity Health Community Hospital of San Bernardino for over 30 years.

She was a devoted wife to her husband of 58 years, Kwasi Addai Sarpong and a loving mother to her two children, Joseph Sarpong and Michelle Sarpong-Terrones. She cherished her role as "Grandma" or “Grandmama” to her three grandchildren, Jacob (2), Caleb (5), and Dominic (9), who brought immense joy and laughter to her life.

She had a passion for cooking and spent countless hours making her famous lemon bundt cake and cultivating her avocado, lemon, and orange trees. She also loved watching western cowboy movies. As a quiet and private person, she was known for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness towards others. Her love and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.

Elizabeth’s departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you make contributions by sharing memories of our beloved Elizabeth on our memorial website.
