Elizabeth Stafford

March 10, 1950June 7, 2021

Elizabeth Stafford, a wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma, 71, of Henderson, Nevada, transitioned peacefully on June 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 10, 1950 in Guatemala to Col. Virgilio Villagran and Maria Antonia Flores. A wife to Sid Stafford for 32 years.

She is survived by her siblings, Virgilio Antonio Villagran, Jorge Mario Villagran and Angelica Maria Villagran Rivera; and her children, Ramy Rebuly, Carla Parker and Henry Bardales.

In June 1974, Elizabeth relocated to Los Angeles, California. Having to learn a new culture and language, she always worked hard to provide for her family. Always sacrificing herself to serve her family and others. She was always there for us in most unexpected moments and made them special.

She was always good with her words, whether funny or sad, she always knew what to say to comfort us in times of need.

Elizabeth loved animals, the ocean and was a huge fan of the US AIR FORCE Thunderbirds.

Our beloved mother will be missed. We are thankful and honored to have experienced her energy, nurturing and loving care. You will be missed for ever Mom!

A very warm thank you to the ICU staff and all Doctors of St. Rose Hospital who cared for our loving mother.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Stafford family.

To my beloved big sister, Betty, from all of us, my kids, me, and my wife
I dedicate these verses to whom I’ve known and have loved my entire life
Life is not measured by the number of breaths or heartbeats we take every day
But by those precious moments, we have spent together that take our breath away

My lovely sis, enjoy the company of our parents and dear departed until we see each other again
My tears come and go like a flow of melancholic memories, though my prayers help ease the pain
I was not ready to say goodbye so soon, but fate stepped in and decided it was time to part
Rest in peace, my dear sister Betty, your memory will live forever at the bottom of my heart

Your brother, Virgilio Antonio Villagrán

It’s difficult to put in words what Liz meant to me and my life. She is the mother to my best friend Henry, the youngest of her three wonderful children. I’ve known Liz and her family for over a decade now. When I think of Liz, the first thing that comes to mind is ‘family’. She was an extremely kind and giving person whom would do anything and everything for her family, and that even extended to me. She has bought me groceries and has made me food on countless occasions. I will miss her Sunday family dinners, her Facebook messages wishing me well, and our shared love for whiskey (straight). She will forever be my Mama! With love from her other hijo and the Walker family. ❤️

My dear sister, it's hard to digest you are no longer with us, although the love you always shared with me and all family members will remain for ever hermanita.
Now you've reunited with dad and your mom who you missed so much over your lifetime. May the Lord bless your soul. Rest in peace dear sister. You will be missed but we understand everything about this world was made to grow and die, but our faith reminds us we shall soon meet in the Kingdom of God.
Love you for ever!
