

MSGT. ELIZABETH TOMPKINS U.S. Air Force, Retired In loving memory of my dearly departed wife, MSgt. Elizabeth J. Tompkins, U.S. Air Force (ret.), of Las Vegas. Elizabeth was promoted to glory Sept. 8, 2013. She was born Sept. 29, 1955, in Louisville, Ky. Elizabeth defended our freedom on three continents and retired from the U.S. Air Force at Langley Air Force Base, Va. Her patriotism, loyalty and dedication serving our nation for 23 years were truly outstanding. She is a graduate of UNLV, where she proudly earned her bachelor's degree. She will be dearly missed by her friends and co-workers at The Wynn and Bellagioher light will forever shine without flicker. The outpouring of love from our neighbors and family only highlight the joy she left in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lydia Shackett. She is survived by her loving husband, of 30 years, MSgt. Tim Tompkins, U.S. Air Force, (ret.); daughter, Twanna Fred; son-in-law, Michael Fred; three grandchildren, Xavier, LaReina and Carmen; and three siblings, Roger Skinner, Calvin Skinner and Sharon Wakefield. Viewing will be 10:30-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, with services following, both at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. Burial following at 1:20 p.m., at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Flowers may be sent to King David Memorial Chapel at the address above.
