Beth emigrated to the United States with her husband, Bela Fejer, in 1961 where she raised their three children—Les, Carol, and Robert. They divorced and in 1972 she married Dr. Edward Williams and welcomed his daughter, Kimberly, as her own. Together they opened and ran a successful medical practice in Lawndale, California, for more than 30 years.
Beth also found time to volunteer in local community and international charities. She led efforts to gather and deliver medical supplies and equipment to countries in need through Hawthorne Disaster Wing, advocated for women’s education through Soroptimist International, served as president of the El Camino College Foundation and is listed on El Camino’s Women’s Wall of Honor. Through her work with the Miss California and Miss America pageants, she helped to provide scholarships to young women and received recognition from the County of Los Angeles for her community contributions.
After retiring in 2000, Beth and Edward relocated to Henderson, Nevada, and enjoyed traveling and Sun City’s community events until Edward's passing in 2005. As a member of the Anthem Authors, Beth met fellow writer, Sigurd Medhus, in 2009 and enjoyed many happy years with him until his passing in 2016.
Beth continued with writing and self publishing five books, including two memoirs, Life in No Particular Order and Memories: Life’s Journey Through Time. She was active in her church and avidly supported the music ministry. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Beth is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one loyal dog.
