Elvera Joanne Paolangeli (Yengo) passed away at home on November 30, 2014 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born in Ithaca, New York on October 23, 1940 the daughter of the late Joseph J. Yengo and Doris Yengo.
Elvera worked at Tompkins County Trust Company Bank for 25 years. She also worked at a family-owned restaurant (Joe’s Restaurant) for many years, which was founded by Elvira Pollio and in 1957 Elvera was crowned Tompkins County Beauty Queen.
Elvera is survived by her husband of 27 years, Roger Paolangeli; son Mark Dreitzler (Lynn) of Cedar City, Utah; daughter Eve Jiminez (Jose) and daughter Sheila Lucatelli, both of Henderson, Nevada; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one on the way; her sister Nancy Yengo of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and her brother Carl Yengo. Elvera was predeceased by her brothers Tommy Yengo and David Yengo.
Her greatest joy was her family.
Elvera’s Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
