Enrique “Bong” Ancheta Go Jr., 69, passed away on March 12, 2026. He was born on September 10, 1956, in Rosales, Pangasinan, Philippines. For the past 18 years, he called Las Vegas home, after living in Manila, Saudi Arabia, Los Angeles, and Pomona.
Bong began his career in Manila where he built a strong foundation in his field before pursuing opportunities overseas with Aramco in Saudi Arabia. Through his dedication and perseverance, he eventually made his way to the United States to be closer to his family. He spent the majority of his career at NV Energy, later serving as a Senior Engineer at Mesa Associates Inc. He was known for his intelligence, curiosity, and deep knowledge across many subjects— always eager to learn something new and stay informed about the world around him.
Beyond his career, Bong lived a full and vibrant life. He enjoyed tennis, biking, singing, and playing musical instruments such as the piano, guitar, along with his harmonica. He had a passion for working with his hands, whether through handywork projects or simply staying productive. He also loved watching historical films and shows, and spending meaningful time catching up on current events. Most of all, he cherished playing with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Papsi” a name that reflected the deep bond and joy he shared with them.
Bong will be remembered as a selfless and compassionate man who was always willing to help others in need. He was a hardworking provider who made many sacrifices to give his family a better life. His personality was both warm and lively—he had a unique sense of humor, often sharing witty and intellectual jokes, and was known by many as personable, kind, and easy to love.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lea Go; his daughters, Erikah “Aly” (Johnpaul “JP”) Garcia and Samirah Go, and his beloved grandchildren, Kaia, Rian, and Ariel Garcia.
Bong’s life was one of dedication, love, and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion to family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service for Enrique will begin at 1pm on Saturday, March 28, 2026 with a Celebration of Life to follow, all at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas.
