December 9, 1948 – July 25, 2026
With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Erlinda Cruz Escano, who peacefully passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 77.
Erlinda was born on December 9, 1948, in Manila, Philippines. Her life’s journey eventually led her to Indonesia, where she met the love of her life, George Escano, while they were both working for an oil company. Their love story spanned four decades, and they shared 38 wonderful years of marriage after exchanging vows on May 9, 1988, in Virginia.
Throughout their years together, Erlinda and George traveled wherever work took them, creating a lifetime of memories in many different places. In 2021, they made Las Vegas, Nevada their home after moving from California. One of their cherished memories together was their stay at the Mandalay Bay, a place that remained special to them.
Erlinda found her greatest joy in the simple things in life. She was happiest at home, where she lovingly cared for her husband. Cooking was one of her greatest expressions of love, and nothing made her happier than preparing delicious meals, especially her famous lumpia, which was George’s favorite. She had a quiet and gentle spirit, appreciating life’s simple pleasures. She also enjoyed collecting beautiful purses, each one reflecting her own graceful style.
Music was also a meaningful part of Erlinda’s life. She and George loved listening to The Eagles, and their favorite song, “No More Cloudy Days,” became especially significant to them. It will forever be remembered as a reflection of their love and the peace they shared together.
Though she described herself as simple and ordinary, Erlinda’s love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her husband made her truly extraordinary. She created a home filled with warmth, comfort, and love, leaving behind countless memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew her.
Erlinda will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, George, along with her family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her gentle heart. Her legacy lives on in the love she shared, the meals she prepared, the music she cherished, and the quiet strength she demonstrated every day.
May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with God’s everlasting love. Though she is no longer with us, Erlinda’s memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
