Ernesto Atienza Guevarra was laid to rest on February 1st, 2021 at St. Martin Hospital, Las Vegas. He was 72. He was born June 20, 1948 in Bacolor, Pampanga. Married Dorie Cortez on May 6, 1972 at UST church. He later had three daughters, Eillane, Maureen and Michelle. Ernie was always a hard worker. While attending college, he worked with a bank. He then took a position as a warehouse man and travelled to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for 6 years leaving his family behind to support them. In 1987, he then moved his family from the Philippines to San Francisco where he worked as a waiter until he fulfilled his dream to buy a house in 1990. In 1995, he started a small fast-food family restaurant named Fil-Am alongside with his wife.

In 2000, he decided to venture on to Las Vegas and bought a house. A short year later, he and Dorie started another family restaurant named Fiesta Filipina at Jones. Being the hard worker he was Ernie also set up a real estate business in the Philippines. In 2010, they opened another Fiesta Filipina 2 in Henderson together with their oldest daughter. In 2016, Ernie built another branch of Fiesta Filipina Durango in Las Vegas.

Traveling was also his favorite thing to do. Every six months, he would travel back to the Philippines to meet up with distant friends and family. He also traveled to Hong Kong, Singapore, Macao, Melbourne, and cruises to Mexico and Alaska.

He loved sports especially football. He enjoyed spending time with his wife in the casino for fun and a nightcap.

Ernie leaves behind seven grandchildren from his three daughters that he was proud of. Ernie lived a fulfilled life. Ernie was a responsible, hardworking, caring, loving Husband, father, Grandfather, brother, uncle and generous friend to many.
