Estelle Rose Carr

Estelle was born on October 14, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edward and Estelle (nee Nickerl) Uebel. She adored her two older brothers, Edward and Harold.

She met the love of her life, Richard Carr, on Christmas Eve 1947, at the Casa Loma Ballroom. It was love at first sight, and they were married on September 4, 1948.

They raised two children and moved to Las Vegas in 1979.

Estelle worked as a bookkeeper at her son-in-law’s dental practice until age 82. She and Richard enjoyed traveling the world and hosting many US and international visitors in their home during their retirement.

Estelle was a loving and supportive wife and mother. Her house was immaculate and she was always meticulous in her appearance. Richard always said she was the prettiest girl at their class reunions! Upon Richard’s passing in 2007, she moved in with her daughter and son-in-law, where she lived for over 17 years prior to her passing.

Estelle is survived by her son, Richard Jr., DMD (Lisa) and daughter, Karen (Nelson Lasiter, DMD), grandchildren Carol Carr and Bryan Carr, and her adorable furry grandkids, Tippy and Cookie Lasiter.

Estelle had a great sense of humor, and will be remembered as a sweet, kind, loving mother and friend to all who were lucky enough to know her.
