Esther Rovilla Bader

Esther R. Bader, 92, a retired veteran in the United States Army, passed away at Infinity Hospice Facility, Aug, 30, 2019. Esther was born on Jun. 01, 1927 in Portland, Oregon. In 1951 she joined the United States Army from 1951 to 1971 as a Sargent First Class. She later served another 10 yrs. from 1971 to 1981 at Nellis Air Force Base. During her time in the military she had traveled to 29 countries. In 1969 she met the love of her life and 37 year companion Irene E. Taub (deceased) through a long time friend Kathy Baird of Sparks, NV. Esther is survived by her stepsister, Melinda (David) Haley; nephew, R. Bryant Wiegers; niece, Natasha Haley; great-nephews, Aiden Wiegers and Dominic Escobedo; and great-niece, Bryana Wiegers, Daniela Wiegers, Ava Perez, Elena Perez, Natalia Perez. The family wishes to thank the staff of Infinity Hospice, the staff of The Bridge at Paradise Valley and longtime neighbors, Penny and Sam Scott for all the love and support given to her over the years. Graveside Service will be 9 a.m. Friday, Sep. 06, at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 South Eastern Ave.
