EVA HISE Eva M. Hise, Aug. 5, 1928 - Oct. 12, 2013, was a resident of Las Vegas for 40 years. Can you see it? That new bright star in the sky. Can you hear it? That is the sound of Eva's laughter as she is greeted by her son, Rick; and her mama, Helen; along with many others she loves. Born in Kosciusko, Miss., she had an adorable southern accent. Eva loved to tell stories, especially about her young-uns, drawing out her words and syllables in a sweet and humorous way. Eva, with her warm, infectious smile, had a way of making everyone feel like they were her favorite person. She was like a Mom to many. She often reminded us that there are always people less fortunate than us. A very classy dresser, she loved shopping at the "Family Broadway," as much as she did at Dillard's. Her children and her husband were her life. While she lives on in our hearts, she will be forever missed. Eva is survived by her loving husband, of 50 years, Robert G. Hise; daughter, Verna "Honey" Moga and Myra Treece (John); sons, Glen (Pat) and Gerald Waldrup and Ron Asher; her granddaughter, Mia Moga Ringwood (Scott); great-granddaughter, Megan Moga (Brock Woolston); and last, but not least, her sweet Dachshund, Daisy. "We all love you dearly, Doll." Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial to follow services at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
