After a difficult battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), Felipe Mejia, 53, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Friday, January 11th, 2019 at 5:59 AM surrounded by his loving wife, children, and mother.
He was born March 3, 1965 in Mexico City, Mexico to Felipe Mejia Cordova and Cruz Gomez de Mejia. He found his soul mate and partner for life at the age of 35, when he married Aurora Hernandez of Atotonilco El Grande, Hidalgo.
Felipe and family left Las Vegas, Nevada in 2015 and moved to Kansas City, Kansa where Felipe continued to work as a home renovator. Felipe was passionate about his work and enjoyed sharing his skills with his sons.
Felipe was a dedicated husband and father who loved family, work, and celebrations. He welcomed all with open arms and had a contagious smile that could light up an entire room.
He is survived by his wife, Aurora; children, Monique, Felipe, Gabriel, Felipe Javier, Sebastian, and Abigail; daughter-in-law, Karla; granddaughter, Kimora; Mother, Cruz; brothers, Francisco and Isaias; sisters, Margarita, Rocio, and Maria; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends that he loved dearly.

Funeral service will be held at St. Anthony of Padua 6350 N. Fort Apache Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89149 at 11 AM. Burial will be held at 1:00pm at Palm Cemetery.
