Felisa C Mangubat

Felisa peacefully passed away on Friday January 29 2016 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas Nevada. Born in Cebu Philippines on October 12 1924, she was the youngest of the five children of Juan and Eulalia Clarus (nee Cadampog) and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years Generoso Mangubat who passed on February 26 1999. Felisa is survived by 7 children Edwin (Nelia), Edmund (Rizi), Marian (Mark), Edsel (Marlene), Melissa (David), Geno, Marcel (Jana), 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Felisa was a pioneer student graduating from the Southern Islands Hospital School of Nursing and then spent 20 years working as a public health nurse in Cebu City. In 1975 Felisa and Generoso relocated their family to the United States where she began working at the Zion Illinois Nursing Home as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. Then, after over 25 years, she semi-retired and continued part-time for several more years before full retirement. Being a family matriarch, Felisa truly enjoyed spending time with her loving family and also enjoyed occasional international travel vacations.

Visitation will be on Tuesday February 2 at 8:00AM-11:00AM, followed by mass at 11:00AM, followed by a luncheon. Final placement date will soon be announced. Flowers can be sent to Palm Eastern Mortuary or donations can be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice Las Vegas.
