Flora D'Alessio, 89, a homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away June 11, 2011, at home. She was born April 28, 1922, to parents, Pasqua and Philip DiCarlo, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, and was a 53-year resident of Las Vegas. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1960 and will be remembered as the matriarch of the family and a loving, caring woman. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Dino; son, Ronald; and brother, Michael DiCarlo. Flora is survived by her son, Orlando (Mary) D'Alessio; grandchildren, Michael and Danny D'Alessio, Debbie Aleksak and Cyndy Napolitano; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Jean Rotella. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
