Floyd W. Thornton

Floyd retired from the city of NLV in 1991 after 28 years. Floyd and Joyce sold their house and bought a RV and toured the United States for 12 years. Then in 2003, they retired from retirement and bought a house in Pahrump, NV where they celebrated their 50th - 63rd wedding anniversary. In 2017, he lost his beautiful wife. He was lucky enough to meet and fall in love a second time to Nancy and married her on January 19, 2019.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 4:00 - 6:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue. A service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Floyd is survived by his wife Nancy Thornton; his children Teri Sanford, Tim Thornton and Tonya Osckel; grandchildren William Sanford, Johnnie Sanford, Matthew Sanford, Jonathan Thornton, Michael Thornton, Bryan Osckel, Alec Osckel and Garret Osckel; great-grandchildren Makenzie Sanford, Whyatt, Clint, and Alisha Sanford Derrick; and great-great-grandchildren Asher and Mickey.
