Frances V Benson

Born in New York, Fran moved to Nevada in the early 60s in search of a fresh start. She took a chance on Las Vegas and Las Vegas certainly took a chance on her. Up until her retirement in 2008, she worked as a cage manager for various casinos (Sands, Dunes, etc to name a few). It has often been noted how helpful she could be in getting you a nice room or tickets to the best show. In those days, everyone knew Fran!

Outside of work, Fran loved traveling, eating at all her favorite restaurants and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed days in the sun, going on walks, and the occasional spa day. To say Fran was a force would be an understatement; she demonstrated leadership in various aspects of her life. She held the people she loved to high expectations and supported them in reaching their goals.

She is predeceased by her son, her parents, and her siblings. She is survived by her grandchildren, nieces & nephews, and many, many, many friends; who have been like family to Fran for so many years.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you prioritize spending time with the ones that you love. Go on that trip. Enjoy that delicious meal. Take advantage of being together. Fran’s life was long and yet it feels so short; cherish every moment.

Services will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Community on N Pecos Rd in Henderson. Funeral mass will take place on Monday, June 8th at 10:00 AM. Celebration of Life to follow.
