

Frances was born in Mound City, Missouri to Owen Robert and Emilie Mathilda Wilson. She graduated from Mound City High School in 1950 where she played on the women’s volleyball team as well as playing French horn in the marching band. She briefly attended college in Iowa. Frances joined her brother Gene Wilson and his wife June in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Gene introduced her to her husband of 32 years, Raymond James “Pat” Schoonmaker.
During her marriage to Pat they had two daughters Rita Anne Schoonmaker (born in Albuquerque, New Mexico) and Rena Marie Schoonmaker (born in Las Vegas, Nevada). They enjoyed camping and road travel. As a couple they lived in New Mexico, Colorado and Nevada prior to Pat’s passing in 1984.
Frances’ second marriage was to long-time friend William ”Bill” Marr Blue on May 18, 1985. They enjoyed attending Trinity United Methodist Church where Frances sang in the choir. They lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and Cedar City, Utah until Bill’s passing in 1998.
Frances is survived by her daughters Rita and Rena (Las Vegas) as well as her three sisters-in-law: June Wilson Kleber (New Mexico), Geraldine Wilson and Beulah M. Wilson (Missouri). Frances will be buried in the Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Society.
