He was known by many names… Paquito, Paquin, Frank, Francisco, Ol’ Paco, Dad, GG Pa, Papa San, Honey, and Franco!
He was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on May 26, 1930, and lived a full and blessed life for 96 years. He is predeceased by daughter Lisa Bellino and her husband Bill, and survived by his amazing wife of 75 years, Anna Maria Surace Irlanda, his children, Linda, Frank, Joe, Helena, and Marty; daughter and sons in law: Alan, Bobbie, Karen, Chris, and Jay, grandchildren Forrest, Karianne, Joey, Vida, Jordan, Shannon, Grace, Carina, Aiden and great granddaughter Delilah.
Frank’s life was a life of service and goodness. His family was everything to him. The only gift he ever asked for was Love, which he received in abundance. He was an Intellect, a Seeker, a Charmer, and a Courageous Hero. He retired from the Army after serving 21 years, including a Viet Nam tour of duty as an Emergency Room Nurse. The tragedy of war prompted him to obtain a Counseling Degree in order to assist post war Veterans.
He was a joy filled man of faith, who will be dearly missed by those of us still here. He is with Jesus, and he is whole.
