

Frankie was a longtime Las Vegas resident known for his charm, wit, and love of life, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born on February 2, 1949, in Niagara Falls, New York, Frankie moved to Las Vegas in the 60's, where he built a remarkable career in the city’s legendary casino industry. Over the years, he worked as a pit boss at some of the Strip’s most iconic establishments, including "The Dunes" and "MGM Grand". His professionalism and larger-than-life personality made him a beloved figure among colleagues and guests alike.
Outside of work, Frankie had an undeniable zest for life. He traveled the world, always seeking new adventures and experiences. He was also known for his love of entertaining—his home was often the center of laughter-filled gatherings, especially during the holidays, which he decorated for with joy and flair.
Though he never married and had no children, Frankie’s circle of friends became his family, and his generous spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Meranto Sr. and Ann Meranto.
Frankie will be remembered for his warm smile, his storytelling, and the sparkle he brought to every room he entered. His memory will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in his journey.
A celebration of Frankie’s life will be held at Palm Mortuary, located at 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, on Monday, October 27th, Viewing from 1:00-2:30, Funeral Service at 2:30 and Burial Service at 3:00 PM
