

Gary Anthony Castello, 60, died October 15, 2010 peacefully at home in Henderson, Nevada, surrounded by his family. Gary was born November 18, 1949 in Clovis, California to Anthony and Lillian Castello. He served in the U.S. Air National Guard for six years and was a first responder to Hurricane Camille in Mississippi in 1969. Gary was an architectural draftsman and designed his family home in Henderson, Nevada. Gary worked with his father in the trucking business in California for several years. He married Marianne Delpit in 1973 and in 1980 he moved his family to Las Vegas where he has resided for the past thirty years. Gary began his career in construction in Las Vegas starting at Nevada Rock and Sand. He founded a local trucking company which he owned for several years and later together with his wife, son, and daughter has operated Castello Excavation & Grading for almost twenty years. He was a devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother, Lillian, his wife of 37 years, Marianne, and three children; Jeff of Watsonville, CA., Tim of Las Vegas, and Kimberly of Henderson. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy of Clovis, CA., a very special cousin, Joanne and her husband (Gary's best friend) Patrick McNeil, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends.
