Dear Kilcullen Family,
There are some who bring a light so great that even after they have gone, their light remains!
Gavin will remain a light in all our lives and I am so lucky to have known him as a student at Kesterson Elementary!
"May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall softly upon your fields until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand."
Love,
Deborah O'Brien
(former teacher at Kesterson Elementary)

We were lucky enough to meet Patti, Gavin and Bradley over 12 years a go. We lived right across from each other. Gavin was one of our daughters first little friends. Every time we saw Gavin he was always positive and happy, we’re blessed that we got to see him late last year and our kids got to play some video games together.
Patti & Bradley we pray for you both, we love you ❤️

Patti and family,

There are simply no words to express our sorrow for you; Gavin was an incredible fighter, and inspiration to everyone-those that only heard his story, and those who actually were blessed enough to have this young man in their lives. We fall into that latter category, and we will forever be grateful to have known him. Gavin showed, in his short 15 years on this earth, what it means to be a hero. He endured what is unfathomable to us; and did so with grace and courage. Patti, I believe along side Gavin in heaven, there is a very special place waiting for you. You epitomize motherhood... selfless, loving, strong, brave and kind. Whenever we came to see you both in the hospital, you were always quick to ask how we were. How was work, life, sports? Always thinking of others. And Bradley, you’ve been such an amazing big brother... You too, have been so strong through Gavin’s battle. And, to join our country’s military is another example of your family’s selflessness. You are truly a hero too, Bradley...thank you for your continued service! Please know that we will forever love all of you, and keep you in our hearts and prayers forever.
