George Henry Anderson, Jr., 76, passed away on November 27, 2019. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska on January 26, 1943. His parents, George H. Anderson, Sr. and Verna Vausta Carter, met in Alaska while his dad was in the Army and his mom was a Christian missionary there. His father was stationed in Germany when he was 6 years old until the age of 12. They came back to the States and settled in Milwaukee where he graduated from high school. After high school, he enlisted in the Army and was also stationed in Germany for 6 years. When he returned to the U.S., he went to college at Maryland University where he graduated with a degree in Anthropology. He later got a job as an insurance agent with Allstate, where he worked for the next 30 years. He adopted five children while doing foster care for social services in Montgomery County, Maryland. George met his wife, Theresa, in 1984. She told him right away that she had two kids. She thought he had not heard her when he replied that he has five adopted kids from a previous marriage. George and Theresa dated for 3 years before getting married. They had four more children. George was a good husband who took care of his family.
