George W. Pickering, 95, of Las Vegas, Nevada. Passed away on January 21, 2014. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 15, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George and Ethel Pickering. George served in the US Army during the Korean War and World War II. He worked for many years as an Auto Mechanic. George married the love of his life, June, on June 12, 1943. The couple shared 70 years together. He is survived by his wife, June; son, Gary Pickering; daughters, Carmen Randall and Margo Thayer; 13 Grandchildren and many Great Grand Children. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Sunday, January 26, 2014, with Services following at 1:00 pm, both at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada 89123. Burial will be private for family.
