Gerald is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Alegre Dombrigue, and their children: Gene Dombrigue (Trisha), Gary Dombrigue (Tracie), and Grace Ormond (Sharicky). He was a proud and devoted "Papa" to his treasured grandchildren, Jayla, Ayden, Jaslyn, Jordyn, and Thea, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.
He is also survived by his brothers, Pepito Ruiz and Roger Ruiz. Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Anacleto Ruiz; his father, Geraldo Saquing; his adoptive mother, Maura Anacleto Dombrigue; his adoptive father, Alberto Alejandro Dombrigue; and his sisters, Elizabeth Pablo, Ruby Menor, Charito Ruiz, and Lilia Saquing.
Born on February 23, 1955, in Isabela, Philippines, Gerald lived a life rooted in faith, love, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to his family. His years of service as an Army soldier gave him the opportunity to travel the world, experience different cultures, and develop a deep appreciation for people, places, and cuisines.
In his free time, Gerald found joy in cooking, gardening, and, above all, spending time with his family. Those who knew him knew there was very little he couldn't do. A true jack of all trades, Gerald approached every task with dedication, excellence, and a wholehearted commitment to giving his very best.
He will be fondly remembered for his signature dishes—especially dinardaraan and teriyaki beef—his unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys, his heartfelt life lessons, his welcoming spirit, and his unforgettable sense of humor. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Gerald's legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply, the countless lives he touched through his selfless acts, and the enduring example he set as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He dedicated his life to providing, protecting, and supporting those he loved, always asking for nothing in return.
A memorial service will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123, on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Gerald will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his love, wisdom, and spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
