A passionate and dedicated educator, Gloria devoted over 30 years to teaching special education in the Clark County School District, where she was known for her unwavering patience, warmth, and fierce advocacy for her students. After retiring from public education, she continued to influence the field for another 12 years as a mentor and instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, guiding and inspiring the next generation of teachers.
Gloria’s life was one of deep love, creativity, and laughter. She enjoyed crafting of all kinds and found immense joy in scrapbooking, tole painting, and sharing her creations. She also loved to travel and explored the country from coast to coast, collecting memories and friendships along the way.
What mattered most to Gloria was the people in her life. Her family and friends, many of whom she had known for decades, meant the world to her. She nurtured every relationship with care and heart, and she will be remembered for the kindness, wisdom, and warmth she shared so generously.
She is survived by her son, Jason LeJeune, and his wife, Patricia; her beloved granddaughters, Olivia and Lillian; her sisters, Patricia Higgins and Beth Plassman; and her fiancé, Robert Chesto.
