

Gloria Mona O’Dell, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Henderson, Nevada. She was born Gloria Josephine Mona on December 20, 1925, in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to Stella and Michael Mona.
Gloria proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a communication specialist. It was during her service that she met and married her devoted husband, Homer O’Dell (MSgt, Air Force, retired), on January 12, 1951. Together, they shared over 48 years of marriage, traveling extensively throughout Homer’s military career and later enjoying life in California before settling in Las Vegas in 1969.
She was preceded in death by her husband Homer and her son Michael. Gloria is survived by her loving children, Karen O’Dell (Henderson, NV) and John O’Dell (Austin, TX), along with their respective partner and spouse Steven Mann and Beth O’Dell. She leaves behind her cherished granddaughter Suzanne Gaines, twin grandsons Trent and Grant O’Dell, and great-granddaughter Madison Patrick.
Gloria was a devoted wife and mother, known for her warmth, resilience, and vibrant spirit. She remained active in her community through St. Michaels Antioch Church and found joy in her many crafts. Her legacy of love and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
