

Gordon, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday Evening, May 20, 2017.
Gordon was born October 23, 1927 in Seattle, WA, the second son for Joy and Doris Melcher.
In the mid-1940’s Gordon served State-side in the US Army as his two brothers served in the United States Navy. In 1956 he joined the Nevada Wing Civil Air Patrol and was instrumental in developing training techniques for the men and women. He gained the rank of Colonel, Commander of the Washoe Cadet Squadron.
Gordon was a Visionary. Over the intervening years he was involved in many businesses and nutritional ventures. In 1995 he founded the nutritional supplement company that would continue his life’s work to seek to develop a natural product that would assist the body to fight against various diseases, East Park Research, Inc., headquartered in Las Vegas, NV.
He was a man who loved life, adventures, storytelling, his country and his family. From wheat farming to cattle driving in Big Sky Montana, Gordon lived an active life. His love for travel and the great outdoors was evident in his joy of boating at Lake Mead and Lake Powell, RV camping, riding dirt bikes and motorcycles, fishing off the Langara Island in Alaska, family trips in the motorhome around the Western United States. In the last few years he was less and less mobile. But that did not stop him from reliving some of those adventures with stories and laughter while enjoying the aquarium at the Bass Pro Shop.
Gordon is survived by his devoted wife, Martha, son, Gordon Michael (Sarah), daughters, Deborah Ann (Chris), Ellen MaRee, Adopted Daughters, Kelly (Michael) and Stacey (Sam),
Step Daughters, Veronica (Matt) and Nathalie, 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, John Charles (1991) and Gregory Glenn (2011).
A Memorial Service honoring Gordon’s life will be held on,
Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 10:00 AM

Gordon will be laid to rest with Honors in the Southern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, NV.
