Gwendolyn Kaye Wade-Hicks, 89, of Las Vegas, died Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Sterling Ridge Senior Living, in Las Vegas. Kaye was born September 1,1935 in Cozad Nebraska to Donald and Della {Wilson} Wade. Kaye graduated high school in Cozad Nebraska in 1953. She was a professional stunt woman; she was an honorary inductee to the Stunt Mans Hall of Fame. Kaye began her singing and acting career in the USO. She appeared in many Hollywood movies. Kaye owned a pottery shop in Las Vegas in the late 1980’s. She loved pottery and sewing.
Kaye will be deeply missed by her children Kevin Wickard and Kirk (Sandra) Wickard; 7 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands Chuck Hicks and Jack Wickard; and a brother Larry Wade.
A memorial service for Gwendolyn Kaye will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. Following the memorial service will be a committal service at 11:00 AM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
