Hoi On Lee, age 64, passed away on January 16, 2021, at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas. He was born March 24, 1956, in Hong Kong to Wing Lee and Ngai Fung Kum. He married Rosa Morales on December 23, 1980, in Mexicali. He was a hard-working family man, a lifelong chef, an apt entrepreneur, and a cheerful soul who shared his life’s gains generously with all those he loved.
Known as Angel to many and Octavio to some, Hoi On lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of cooking, eating, gambling, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters, Isabella and Zoey. Hoi On was an avid reader, with a can-do attitude, and an appreciation for the gadgets of the modern world.
Having departed too soon, he is survived by many. Among those most close to him, his loving family: Rosa, Sofia, Wendy, Kathie, Siuming & Matt. Family, friends and others whose lives Hoi On touched are encouraged to celebrate in a pandemic-safe feast of your own making and to share a fond memory, a few words, or a photograph on the Palm Eastern Mortuary website here: https://bit.ly/2LYWMyL If you would like to attend the Saturday service virtually via Zoom, please contact a family member via text, phone or email.
