Howard Edson May, 77, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016. He was born July 27, 1938 to Edson and Marie May in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a 1957 graduate of Roosevelt High School. He went on to have a long and successful career in the forms printing industry. He was proud of and enjoyed his time as a Scout leader. Howard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a generous, kind and honest man. If family or friends were in need, he was always there to help. Howard loved to read all kinds of books and play cards games with his wife Judie and their friends. Howard had a well lived life and followed the golden rule of putting others needs first. He would go out of his way to get a chuckle out of those he met during the course of his day. He tried to make the world a better place, one smile at a time. He is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Judie Ann May; and his parents. He is survived by his daughter Marcia May of Las Vegas; son, Mark (Marcia) May of Elmhurst, IL; two grandsons, Kevin and David; his brother Charlie (Katy) May and his sister Patti (Denny) Christiansen. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, August 13 at Resthaven Cemetery in Des Moines, IA.
