Irene Linnea Cosentino

Irene was born April 7, 1945 in Eskilstuna, Sweden to Curt Jansson and Linnea Olsson. She met her husband of 53 years, Kenneth William Cosentino, in Montreal, Canada and they married in Eskilstuna, Sweden on June 23rd, 1967.

Irene devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Her wonderful sense of humor filled their lives with laughter and joy. She was their #1 cheerleader and supporter, whether at ice hockey rinks, soccer matches, or softball/baseball games.

Irene was a woman of class and simplicity who loved being with family and laughing incessantly with her twin sister Kärstin. Irene loved hunting for unique knick-knacks on Swedish auction sites, decorating her home with the treasures, buying books at the local library, traveling, and BBQ food - especially ribs.

Irene is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her sons Eric, Christian and Stefan, and her grandchildren Cameron, Clayton, Colin, Nicholas and Christopher. In Sweden she leaves behind her twin sister Kärstin, older sister Birgitta, niece Carina and nephews Daniel and Håkan.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Irene’s name to the Scandinavian Living Center, 206 Waltham Street, Newton, MA 02465.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, March 22, 2021 at Palm Eastern Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada.
