Home can often be found where the heart lies
Inside of a place filled with laughter and even cries
It is a location where people seek their refuge and rest
A welcoming shelter to withstand any test
But this home he departed to is an eternal place
Nor is it limited to any physical space
It is where he will now be free of all pain
It is a place that ends all the torrential rain
Strong, hard-working, and self-sufficient
He was a loving husband and a father of two
Giving, strong-willed and independent
He did everything well until Parkinson's set through
But now he rests at peace with his wife
He has now been elevated, removed from this life
For God has said I'm finally calling him home
To a dwelling where goodness never fails to roam
