Jaime was born on January 18, 1943, in Silang, Cavite, Philippines to Dr. Lazaro and Paz Kiamzon. He had seven siblings: Olivia (deceased), Purita (deceased), Erfe, Norma, Generosa, Charito, and Judy.
Jaime and his wife Henrietta grew up in Silang and began dating during their college years. They soon fell in love and married in May of 1965. In 1968, they immigrated to Greensburgh, PA to raise their growing family, followed by years spent in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island, New York. Upon retirement, Jaime and Henrietta enjoyed splitting their time between Henderson and their hometown of Silang.
Jaime attended Adamson College in Manila and worked for Toy Manufacturers of America in New York City in the 1970s. Later, he became a stay-at-home dad who loved gardening and DIY projects. His favorite project was maintaining his 1975 Corvette Stingray convertible, which he brought back to the Philippines upon his retirement. Most of all, Jaime loved to cook. His specialty Pancit Malabon, a Filipino noodle dish, was loved by all.
Jaime is survived by his loving wife, Henrietta; their seven children: Johanna, Jennifer, Jasmine, Hans, Hendrik, Harald and Hal; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on October 12, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Henderson, NV. As only a limited number of attendees will be permitted, the event will also be live-streamed.
