James M. Dunne, 90, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 16, 2013. He was born in Long Beach, California on January 30, 1923 to James Leonard Dunne and Effie Mae Landrum. Jim served honorably in the Army Air Force, in Europe, during WWII. He retired as the Station Manager for United Airlines after 33 years of service in 1979. Jim enjoyed flying his plane, fishing, working on vehicles, playing tennis at Canyon Gate Country Club, and other outdoor activities. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Irene. He is survived by five children: Marthe R. Dunne, Donna M. (Jim) Edgeworth, James L. Dunne, Mike M. (Kathy) Dunne, Irene K. (Thomas) Mayer; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon, Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive in Boulder City, Nevada.
