It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Morasco, a beloved father, son, partner, and friend whose warmth and laughter touched everyone he met.
James was an incredible father to his two daughters, who were the light of his life. His devotion to them was evident in everything he did, from the countless hours spent nurturing their dreams to the way his face lit up whenever he spoke about them. He was equally devoted to his loyal companion Tank, his beloved dog who was never far from his side.
As a partner to Courtney, James exemplified love, support, and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with joy, understanding, and shared adventures that will forever remain in her heart.
His parents instilled in him a strong work ethic and sense of independence that served him throughout his life. Especially in his passion for locksmithing.
James had an infectious passion for life’s simple pleasures. Music filled his days, whether he was discovering a new artist or playing his records for family and friends. His love of comedy brought laughter to every gathering, and he had the remarkable gift of finding humor even in life’s most challenging moments. The open road called to him through his motorcycle and he loved taking rides with his best friends Chris and Brian.
Perhaps James’s greatest gift was his ability to connect with people. His genuine warmth and quick wit could turn a stranger into a friend within minutes. He possessed that rare quality of making everyone feel heard, valued, and welcome in his presence. His sense of humor was legendary among those who knew him, and his laughter was a soundtrack to countless cherished memories.
James leaves behind his two daughters Dawn and Gwen, his partner Courtney, his faithful companion Tank, his parents Jim and Teri, his brothers Tim and Daniel, and a community of friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man who reminded us all of the importance of love, laughter, and human connection.
A memorial service for James will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 beginning at 10am at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, Nevada, 89113. The family requests everyone wear bright clothing in James' memory!
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor James’s memory by sharing a laugh with someone you love, listening to a favorite song, or simply reaching out to make a new friend—just as James would have done. If you wish to make a donation in his honor, his favorite organization was B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse). A link to B.A.C.A will be listed on this page.
