James Charles "Jim" Peacock III, 73, of Henderson, passed away Aug. 1, 2010, after a brief illness. He was a native of New Jersey and served four years in the U.S. Air Force Air Police. He lived many years in California before moving to Las Vegas in 1980. He retired from the automotive industry after 32 years and found a new career working for Dollar Rent-a-Car in Las Vegas. Jim was a wonderful husband and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters, Kimberlee Kruse of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Danette Cook of Las Vegas. He has four much loved grandchildren, Skyler, Cody, McKenzie and Regan. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. The family requests that donations be made to Compassion International Children's Fund, 122290 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80921, in lieu of flowers.
