Janice Arlene Mall

We would like to celebrate Janice Mall, and to memorialize her life. Janice Mall sadly passed away on August 4th 2025 in Las Vegas, NV. She passed quietly at the age 88 years old. Janice lived a long, happy life surrounded and loved by her family, and long time neighbors.

Janice is survived by her son Steven Mall with Roseanna Garcia, her son Scott Mall, her Niece Gina Juhas-Chavez, and her husband Pat. Janice’s sister Betty Ann Chavez sadly passed two years previous. Janice’s husband Joseph Mall Jr. passed in 1998.

Janice moved to Las Vegas from San Francisco with her Mother Lily, and sister Betty in the 50s. She then met her husband Joseph, a lifetime member of stagehands local 720. Joseph became stage manager and asst. Entertainment dir. At the Sands hotel. Janice enjoyed the rat-pack of the days and even made dinner once for Sammy Davis Jr. at her home.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, computers, and the outdoors. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and houseboat on lake’s Mead and Powell. She worked at bonanza airlines as a stewardess, Joann’s fabrics, And Walmart. She liked to keep busy and productive. Janice was always friendly with a bright smile, and very sociable. She was always very happy to meet people.

Janice Mall was a Daughter, Wife, and Mother. Her strong spirit and soul will live on. Always young at heart. She got along with everybody.

Mom, you will be missed by all that knew you!

We all love you dearly, and you will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace now.

A visitation for Janice will be held Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral will occur Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A committal service will occur Monday, August 18, 2025 from 9:20 AM to 10:00 AM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City, NV 89005.
